Gray was diagnosed with a pilocytic astrocytoma (brain tumor) at 2 years old. A surgeon in Memphis successfully resected 90% of her tumor and she went back to Michigan to start chemo. It turns out she was severely allergic to the chemo and it nearly killed her.
